The Old School House was built in 1878 as the residence for the village School Master. The Gullane School has since moved but the original school building is now the village library - a very short walk away. The house is perfectly located in the center of the village with a view over the Children's Golf Course to Gullane Hill and of course to the three outstanding links courses, Gullane No.1, No.2, and No. 3 as well as Luffness New. It is a very short walk to either of the 2 starter houses as well as 150 meters to the best pub in East Lothian, The Old Clubhouse. It is also within walking distance to La Pontinière Restaurant, Greywalls Hotel, and the Golf Inn Restaurant.
